INCLUSIVE (Training, certification, accomodation and meals)

*All participants must be in order of registration at leas 30 days prior to the start of the training (a postponement of the training is always an eventuality if the minimum number of paticpants is not reached). SMAT warmly advises their participants to subscribe to a cancellation insurance for their flights (considering the possibility of a postponement).

From the airport of Fiumicino
Come directly to Sezze Romano train station, where a pick up will be arranged. Take the train from Fiumicino airport to Termini station (+/- 16 euros), and than from Termini take the train in direction of Sezze Romano (+/-4 euros).

From the airport of Ciampino
Come directly to Sezze Romano station. Take the shuttle (bus) from the aiport to Termini station ( +/- 5 euros) , and from Termini take the train in direction of Sezze Romano ( +/4 euros)

Tip: Take you ticket (at Termini) to Sezze Romano, at the dedicated selling machines, and identify the train number !

Italy (SEZZE)


The targeted group for this Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) are selected personnel to be deployed in missions of: low / medium / high risk or recently deployed in such missions. Preferably,the participants have already attended at least one general introductory course on crisis management operations or gained relevant experience in international field operations.

This course has two main objectives

  1. Improve participants knowledge of the multiple threats in hostile environments on the ground and how to deal with them effectively.
  2. Repeat and practice the safety and security procedures based on specific threats.
Course Summary:
  • A. Personal security awareness.
  • B. First Aid.
  • C. Communications.
  • D. Navigation
  • E. IED, UXO, mines, weapon awareness.
  • F. Hostage situations.
  • G. Incident reaction training.

N.B. This course is aimed essentilly at civilian public, who aren't allowed to carry weapons and are not concerned about armed response. Although, a small class will e dedicated to the neutralization of different weapons to ensure your own security.
